Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We service a 12 mile radius from our location. We can service outside of our normal coverage area, however additional mileage fees would be assessed.
If you are a new client, we must first have you complete and turn in our introductory paperwork and schedule a meet & greet. We will then create an account for you on our pet sitting software, Pet Owner Dashboard, and will get your first booking set up. Existing clients can send a booking request on the Pet Owner Dashboard app or submit one via phone call, text message, email, etc. A 50% deposit is due immediately upon confirmation of your booking request in order to reserve your times. The remaining balance is due before completion of your booking, though the full balance can be paid all at once.
Our service is like a shortened or abbreviated version of housesitting. Our service is in the form of visits to your home. We have different kinds and lengths of visits. What type, length, and the number of visits you need is partly dependent on your pets needs and requirements. As a rule of thumb, for clients going out of town, we require a minimum of two visits per day for dogs, one visit per day for cats, and small pets on a case by case basis. Some exceptions can be made, for example: a relative will be checking in on your pets for the first half of each day you're away. Visits can be booked individually or if you qualify, one may take advantage of one of our package deals. A comprehensive list of our services can be found on the Services & Prices page.
We use the Pet Sitter Dashboard app and website, which uses Stripe secure payment processing, and can accept all major credit & debit cards, as well as direct bank draft and even Google Pay. We can also accept payment through the Venmo platform, cash, and checks.
Yes we do! From miniatures to giant breeds, from Chihuahuas to Bull Mastiffs, we care for them all! We only ask that they be current on all required shots, have a current dog license, and current flea & tick treatment. We do not provide care for pets that are known to be aggressive toward or who have hurt other pets or humans.
Please see our Payment & Cancellation Policy at the bottom of our Services & Prices page.
Unfortunately, we do not offer boarding or doggy daycare. A comprehensive list of our services and prices can be found on the Services & Prices page on our website.
We do not offer grooming nor do we plan to in the future.
Yes, we are insured and bonded through the Business Insurers of the Carolinas, which is Pet Sitter International's preferred provider.
We know that people are giving us access to their home. We understand that handing your keys, alarm codes and pets over to someone you don’t know can make you nervous. Our years of pet care experience, numerous repeat clients, and glowing reviews do speak for themselves, however we do also have background clearances. These can be supplied upon request. We are also insured and bonded with the Business Insurers of the Carolinas and pride ourselves on being members of Pet Sitters International which promotes professionalism and excellence in the pet sitting industry. We are also Better Business Bureau accredited.
While we do believe our reviews speak for themselves, we can get you connected with past & current clients upon request.
As mentioned in our about section, we've had animals all our life. We're extremely comfortable around them, and learn their personalities and body language, so we can tell if something is "off". We are huge on communication and will reach out to you immediately if something sets off our "inner alarm". We are trained in pet CPR and First Aid. We are also members in good standing with Pet Sitters International, an organization that promotes excellence and professionalism among pet sitters. All members must adhere to their code of ethics. We are also part of their Pet Sit Pro program, which is an ongoing streaming educational platform. We are also accredited with the Better Business Bureau.
It will vary based on scheduling and availability. A professional member of our team will be assigned to your booking. For new clients, you will at the very least meet one of the owners at the meet & greet. For existing clients, if assigned a new sitter, a meet & greet can be scheduled upon request. If a different sitter from your usual is scheduled, they will be introduced to your pet by your usual sitter and given the rundown on all your pet's routines. All of this will be discussed and communicated with the client.
No. If we come upon someone else walking their dog while on our walk, we will avoid any interaction. If a loose animal approaches us while on a walk, every precaution will be taken to keep the situation calm and your pet safe. In some extraordinary circumstances, we may offer to walk dog's together from different households which are in the same neighborhood, but all of this would be discussed with the clients after gaining permission to do so.
We do not guarantee exact times except for pets that require medications at a specific time. We schedule timeframes, for example, early morning time, which would be between 6am and 8am. This is to account for things such as unforeseen delays in traffic, at previous appointments, etcetera, among other things. So all times are approximate other than ones for pets that need meds at a specific time. Pets with meds needed at a specific time come first in order of priority, second senior/disabled pets, puppies, kittens, then everyone else.
